Arizona vs. Cal Quick React

Are you freaking kidding me! What happened? Doesn't Foles know that he can't throw that ball? What happened on the 60+ yard touchdown at the end of the game? Did we give up?

Very disappointed right now. We should have won the game.  There were lots of opportunities during the game to take over and it didn't happen. Our running game was atrocious tonight. Where is Grigs? I thought he was going to play tonight.

More tomorrow. I'll actually have some more in depth analysis of the game since it was on versus and I got to watch it.

couple thoughts....

1) Foles is young and the moment got to him.

2) zone blocking. we run that play over, and over, and over, and when you are bored to tears covering it, and over pursue to the play side, the cut back is there for a big gain. This is the play we score on all the time.

3) zona is a good team, don’t get to far down on yourselves.

Couple more thoughts

1. We went into Cal, played one of our worst games, and still had a shot at the end of the game to win it. Sometimes you just have bad games.
2. Foles did okay. I think the line let him down a few times, and he held onto the ball longer than he should have but i thought he was fine. Cant be player of the week every week.
3. Defense did good. Had a few INT against a QB who rarely throws a INT.
4. We still control are in great position to go to the Rose Bowl. It’s up to us.

Oh and another thing

Thought I don’t think the cats did it on purpose, but the last TD run for CAL actually helped us. THey would have ran the clock out. We had 2 timeouts, but it wouldn’t have mattered. They would have wound the clock down still. This way, and with luck of them screwing up the point after, we had the ball with a little under 2 minutes left one possession game..

Crap, another note on the defense. They did good, but the backfield tackling wasnt so much. And for the first time, i wasn’t impressed with the play calling, but Im not worried about it. Just a bad game.
