Arizona Red-Blue Game Gives a Glimpse at 2009-10 Basketball
Wildcat fans got a glimpse of the first team of the Sean Miller era on Sunday afternoon. Rather than a traditional collegiate intra-squad game, Miller decided to split the game into two halves. At the half, several players switched teams to give a different look for all players involved. Throughout both halves, players were subbed in and out for both teams interchangeably.
"It wasn't so much switching teams or mash-ups as it was giving the players rest," Miller said. "I don't want any one guy out there for more than two hours without rest."
Nic Wise did not participate in the scrimmage due to an ankle injury sustained earlier in the week. Lamont Jones led the Wildcats in scoring with 21 points. Jamelle Horne contributed 17 points with 9 rebounds. Kyryl Natyazhko finished the scrimmage with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Derrick Williams, Solomon Hill, Kevin Parrom and Kyle Fogg all tallied 13 points.

Hey Joe!
Hey Joe,
PAC-10 Basketball season is going to be exciting. I’m really looking forward to see how the ’Cats grow under Miller, especially what should be a transformation from Jamelle Horne and “surprising” seasons from Garland Judkins and Brendan Lavender.
Last year, I was working at keeping my own blog up , but I find that I just don’t have the time to do it with consistency. I plan on posting things there, but it may be more realistic for me to just pitch in on yours. Let me know what you think.
BTW – I also have a PAC-10 roundball Preview posted there already.
