Arizona 61 vs. Wisconsin 65 Recap
Arizona and Wisconsin were tied at 55 with 2:06 left in the 2nd half when Wisconsin started to pull away. The Cats ultimately fell to Wisconsin 65-61. Give credit to the Badgers for their late run that the Cats just couldn't keep up with. Jamelle Horne hit a 3 pointer with 1:07 left to pull within 1 point but that's as close as the Cats got. Horne also had another 3 pointer with 12 seconds left in the game as well.
Trevon Hughes scored 24 points while Keaton Nankivil had 12 and Jason Bohannon had 10 for the Badgers. Arizona's freshman Derrick Williams again looked unstoppable scoring 25 points on 6-7 shooting and 13-21 from the charity stripe. Nic Wise struggled shooting only 3-12 with 2 turnovers. Wise was forced to sit because he picked up 2 fouls in the first 1:32 of the game. You'd expect your leader to be a little more careful in any game. 2 fouls in the first 1:30 is unacceptable. I'm not too worried about the Cats. They played a solid Wisconsin team that focuses on defense and we were able to play stride for stride until the end. Hopefully, this will be a learning experience for them and bring the team closer together to figure out how to finish games. Sound familiar? Finishing games? Foootball anyone???
Sorry. Still bitter.
Next up: Arizona vs. Colorado at 4:00 Eastern Standard Time

Derrick Williams was simply a force
He looked like the best player on the court for the Wildcats hands down. Nic Wise seemed a little out of control at times and Momo Jones ran the point in a much more calm and collected manner. I’m sure Wise will bounce back as it is still November, but it’s discouraging that the senior leader can fall apart that easily. On the bright side, we have some really good freshman on the team.

Complete non sequitur
The guys at Ralphie do a hell of a job. If you go check out their preview stay awhile and read their stuff on a bitterly disappointing football season—absolutely exemplary stuff, always passionate but also insightful.
As a Mizzou alum—and a regular at Rock-M-Nation—I’d like nothing better than to see a plague of locusts compound CU’s misery and destroy their crops… But, only because it would be the impetus for more great stuff from Ralphie.
