Day Five in the Books; Injuries Nag

The Cats had their fifth straight day of practice this morning at Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson. 

Nic Grigsby and Ricky Elmore did not practice, and were not at Salpointe today for "medical reasons" according to Head Coach Mike Stoops. 

Taimi Tutogi, who is giving Vuna Tuihalamaka a run for Best Name on the Team, did not practice today either because of an unspecified leg injury. 

Rob Gronkowski, Chris Gronkowski, and Delashaun Dean also are all dealing with nagging leg injuries. 

While, on the surface, these injuries seem numerous and worrisome.  Grigsby, Elmore and Gronkowksi are not names we want to see on any injury report this season.  But, this is just day five.  And these players have not had a day off since fall camp began last Thursday.  Five straight days of practice, with pads on the last couple, is going to cause some bumps, bruises, and soreness across the board. 

So, do not fret Cats fans. Nothing has been reported that indicates these injuries are anything more than the normal wear and tear of the first week of camp.
