With the final pick in the 2009 NBA D-League Expansion Draft, the Springfield Armor select... Kirk Walters, the 6'11" Center out of the University of Arizona. Walters will be joining other notable former Pac-10 players such as Cedric Bozeman (UCLA), Will Conroy (Washington), Malik Hairston and Luke Jackson (Oregon), and of course, Marcus Williams, the former Arizona Wildcat stand-out. 

The other new team joining the Springfield Armor is the Maine Red Claws. With Springfield's first pick, they selected Marcus Campbell, the 7' Center from Mississippi State.
