These type of injuries on quarterbacks are senseless. Players who fall intentionally or otherwise into the opposing quarterbacks knees should be held responsible. Look at the video for foles’ sake, the tackler was well within his means to avoid falling directly into Foles’ Knees or knee for this matter.

Well...

I will say that it certainly appears that he could have avoided hitting Foles, and there were certainly other instances througout the game that had me wondering if the WSU players were trying to hurt some people. However, nothing was blatant or obvious. The last thing that we want is for the NCAA to give the officials the power to make ‘judgement calls’ on whether or not someone was trying to hurt another player.
Now, I wouldn’t be opposed to the ‘Brady rule’ being adopted by the NCAA…
