kudos to Howland

I don’t think anyone had attempted to get out and run with the Cats in well over two months and it caught them flatfooted, plus the change in their defense and a very good performance out of Reeves and Honeycutt. I do think if UCLA finds a point guard who is more consistent and another shooter that they can be right back in contention for the title next year.

A couple of things, I wish we could have seen more of Jacobsen, he may not be spectacular but he certainly is solid, he blocks out, he has a good jumperout to 15 feet, he boards well and he clogs the lane and plays pretty decent D. Maybe with more time his weaknesses would get exposed, but I wish the Miller would have gone to AJac at the 5 and DWill at the 4 and bench Mamselle Horne who wants to play the 3 so badly that he’s invisible at the 4 for us.

I hope that the team gets a chance to play a bit more, all the youngsters can use all the game time that they can handle, so while the excitement of this Sunday will be rather subdued, lets hope these young men get a chance to play a bit more before springtime arrives.

I used to be disgusted, now I try to be amused....
