My own thoughts about the conference expansion is nothing more than this is the logical financial prostitutionof college sports and this will eventually blow up in another 20-30 years as the facade of college sports being “amatuers” is finally exposed for what it is. I expect something drastic to where football and college hoops devolve into the system that is in place for MLB, players get signed and developed, and no one has to piss about the facade of getting an education. The NCAA will return to being concerned about non-revenue sports and all the money will eventually bring down this farce of there being a system that is in place or the “student athlete”. Don’t misunderstand me, I love the fact that so many students get a ride to become a beneficial mmber of society, but money corrupts and the amount of cash that is being tossed about here with advertising and TV deals has more than one college president willing to sell their soulds for the big bucks.
