Ok, I was scanning some articles and came across a quote by Toledo Rockets Head Coach Tim Beckman from a Rocket Digest interview.
Rocket Digest: "I know it’s early, but what do you think of Arizona?"
Coach Beckman: "It’s a great competition, a great opponent to have in the Glass Bowl. Mark Stoops does a great job. I know the Stoops family because my dad coached the Stoops family at Iowa. Great tradition, well coached team, and we’re excited to have them coming into the Glass Bowl." The entire interview here.
The interview took place at the Toledo media day on August 7th. News of Mark Stoops leaving Arizona broke last December. So, to be clear, you know the Stoops family, your dad coached the Stoops family, but you didn't know Mark Stoops was no longer a part of the Arizona coaching staff? I'm not sure whether to think that Coach Beckman just had a slip of the tongue, and meant to say Mike Stoops, or that he honestly had no idea what was going on with his first opponent of the season. I usually give a guy the benefit of the doubt. Lord knows I've had my share of brain farts.. But I can't shake the feeling that Toledo won't know what's coming their way in two weeks. And I have no problem with that.

Ok, so what's the verdict?
It was just a slip of the tongue. He meant to say Mike Stoops and will be ready for the Cats. (11 votes)
He really didn't know that Mark Stoops had moved on to Florida State, but will game prep and be ready by the 3rd. (1 vote)
He had no clue that Mark Stoops had moved on. Why would he? No need for game prep when you're a warm up for a better football team. (4 votes)
