To no surprise, Arizona Wildcats' recruits Brandon Ashley and Grant Jerrett were announced to the McDonald's All-American West Team rosters on Thursday.
The two forwards are both in the top 10 of ESPN's recruiting rankings, and they're part of two, 12-man rosters that will play in the high school all star game on March 28 and televised on ESPN.
Never before has UA head coach Sean Miller placed a recruit on a McDonald's roster, and last year he made the argument that Josiah Turner and Nick Johnson were deserving of the honor. Now he gets the first two of what we assume will be more to come.
Jerrett, a 6-foot-10, 220 pound forward is a Lamar Odom-like player that could compliment Ashley, a 6-foot-8, 215 pound forward. They would have been joined by Arizona commit and center Kaleb Tarczewski, but he's in his fifth season of high school after playing this past season at St. Mark's School and is thus ineligible.
The Wildcats are one of three schools to have more than one player committed to their programs. As of now, N.C. State has three McDonald's players and Kentucky has two. Here are the full rosters.
