Ryan Finley reports in Saturday's Arizona Daily Star that Rich Rodriguez has received a verbal commitment from Grayson High School (Loganville, Ga.) tight end prospect Jack Banda. Banda is the high school teammate of 2013 consensus No. 1 recruit Robert Nkemdiche. UA is not in the running for the defensive end prospect. Banda's commitment continues a trend that started with Rodriguez's initial recruiting class of UA spanning the continent for players. Players from seven states signed with the Wildcats last winter.
