Maybe I'm reading too much into this, or maybe I'm reading in between the lines.
H-back Taimi Tutogi was a point of emphasis when Rodriguez talked to Kyle Kensing at media day about potential stars on this 2012 squad.
Furthermore, Tutogi was listed as the first player in the depth chart as the Arizona Wildcats' No. 2 running back slot. That assumes that he's the second back behind a primary back if the Wildcats run a two-back set, something that's probably quite likely in Rich Rodriguez's spread-option offense.
So I don't feel like it's a major assumption or jump to say Tutogi will get a lot of touches next season.
He showed in the spring game that he can run over defender with carries. He's proved he's got soft hands. And with jet-quick backs in Ka'Deem Carey and Daniel Jenkins shouldering the carries, he will be key as a blocker.
With a new offense in place, Tutogi just might be a hidden secret coming into the 2012 season.
