STAR RATING: Three
Lee Walker joined Pierre Cormier in winning a California Interscholastic Federation championship at San Diego's Madison High School. As a wide receiver, he was invaluable to providing pass balance to the Warhawks' zone-read spread offense -- an offense with uncanny similarities to Rich Rodriguez's system.
Walker caught 41 passes, including 12 for touchdowns, and led Madison with 755 yards. He also played some defense, which included a five-tackle performance in a win over Oregon recruits Tyree and Tyrell Robinson's Lincoln team.
Walker can effectively operate as a slot receiver, and his speed makes him an option on the perimeters akin to Richard Morrison. His familiarity with UA's offense should help in his adjustment to the college game.
A bevy of wide receivers return to the Wildcat roster in 2012, so Walker won't need to integrate into a contributing role as quickly as his Madison teammate, Cormier.
