Arizona Baseball: Wildcats take first two games of California series

The Arizona Wildcats have now won 5 games in a row after taking the first two games of the Cal series - Bruce Thorson-US PRESSWIRE

A big outing from Konner Wade on Friday and a first inning rally on Saturday led to Arizona extending their winning streak to 5

Konner Wade almost got his first complete game of the year on Friday, going 8 2/3, giving up just one run on the night to give the Wildcats the first game of the series. Arizona won the game 10-1. Eight different Wildcat starters had RBI.

Game 2 was another Arizona victory. A 4 run first inning chased Cal starter Justin Jones. After that, James Farris, Tyger Talley, Augey Bill and Mathew Troupe kept the Golden Bear bats in check, giving the Wildcats a 6-4 victory.

Game 3 is today at 1 PM. The game will be televised on ESPNU. Make sure to check it out as Arizona looks to get back to .500 in conference play!
