The 2014 baseball schedule for the Arizona Wildcats is out, and it includes something a little different.
March 7-9, Arizona will host the Mississippi State Bulldogs and UC-Santa Barbara Gauchos in a "tournament". Each school will play four games over the span of three days. All six games over the three days will be played at Hi Corbett Field.
ASU saw some success with this last year playing games in Surprise, and they will do the same thing again this year the week before Arizona's tournament.
In addition to this, Arizona will play zero non-conference games on the road this year, the second time in three years that has happened. Last year, the only two non-conf. road games were a midweek series at Long Beach St. The Dirtbags come to Tucson this year March 4th and 5th.
Here's a look at the entire schedule:
Arizona baseball 2014 schedule
One horrible thing about the schedule is the Wildcats finish the year with a three-game series at home against Abilene Christian. If Arizona is on the bubble again like last year, that ain't gonna help. ASU comes to town April 25-27, so mark your calendars now.
