Arizona basketball: Back to the NCAA bracket's No. 1 seed?

With a blowout over Colorado, the Arizona Wildcats are back in the conversation of the NCAA's best teams.

Blowing the Colorado Buffaloes out of the water on their own court was seemingly a seismic event for the Arizona basketball team. Not only did it provide evidence that the offense could very well function with a few tweaks, and not only did it act as an eye-opener for how quickly things can change -- Aaron Gordon's confidence, anyone? -- in just a few days.

The win was a statement game for Arizona, like it or not.

ESPN's Joe Lunardi sees it as one that propels the Wildcats to the No. 1 overall seed in his Bracketology. Arizona does rank first in KemPom ratings and first in BPI, and it should rank first in RPI once everything is said and done this weekend. No matter the analytic model, the Wildcats are darn good.

Let's recount Arizona's true road wins: San Diego State, Michigan, UCLA, Colorado. Pretty solid.

Obviously, this all means nothing if the Wildcats fizzle down the stretch. But in a hostile environment coming off a rugged win at Utah, beating the Buffs handily indicated that Sean Miller's team, already a good one, is only getting better.
