Arizona vs. Stanford injury report: Jared Tevis' replacement Onwuasor confident

Arizona Wildcats safety Jared Tevis' sprained ankle could make him a no-go on Saturday. If the reports out of Tucson regarding Tevis moving around on crutches and in a walking boot weren't enough, the replay of his ankle sprain from Saturday's 38-35 loss to the Oregon State Beavers might be telling.

But safety Patrick Onwuasor played well in Tevis' place, recording eight tackles. The redshirt freshman told the Arizona Daily Star that he was plenty comfortable on the field after replacing Tevis at the "bandit' safety spot.

The 6-foot-1, 210 pound converted receiver is a physical presence and a big hitter, and he told the Star that he'll continue to lean on Tevis for help, just as he did when the starting bandit finally left the game after returning for a series to test out the ankle.

Also listed as questionable for Saturday's noon game in Palo Alto, Calif., is offensive lineman Trace Biskin (toe), defensive lineman Reggie Gilbert (ankle) and center Kyle Quinn (ankle).

Starting defensive end Dominique Austin is the only player ruled completely out. He is dealing with a foot injury.
