Once again, expect the Arizona Wildcats to surprise and make a mid-tier bowl game despite the questions surrounding their quarterback and running back competitions becoming lengthy and convoluted. According to several preseason bowl game projections by experts, Arizona will end up finishing the year in the middle of the Pac-12.
The Wildcats are projected by three national writer to make the Royal Purple Las Vegas bowl, where they will face the Boise State Broncos in the latter's first season of the post-Chris Petersen era. Two other writers, SB Nation's Jason Kirk and Sporting News' Bill Bender, predict that Arizona will go to the Sun Bowl in El Paso, where it will face an ACC team.
Our vote would give Arizona an appearance in the Vegas bowl, for obvious reasons.
SB Nation (Jason Kirk): Sun Bowl in El Paso vs. Duke

CBS Sports (Jerry Palm): Royal Purple Bowl in Las Vegas vs. Boise State
