Each week, we ask our readers to vote in our weekly Pac-12 Power Rankings.
We had to cut the voting a little short this week, but we still got 27 votes submitted, and, well, there’s some interesting things going on.
There was definitely a lot of changes from last week’s voting.
Clearly the Washington Huskies have asserted themselves as the best team in the conference, but seeing the Oregon Ducks at the bottom of the list is definitely interesting and not something I saw coming at any point this year.
After defeating the Arizona Wildcats, the Utah Utes jump up to No. 2 in our rankings, and Arizona actually moved up from 11th to 10th...thanks Oregon.
The thing that stood out to me when counting up the votes was how spread out Washington State’s voting was. The Cougars have at least one vote from 1st-9th. Clearly beating Oregon and Stanford in back-to-back weeks is good, but do we just throw out that non-conference disaster they had? Some people have apparently.
There are plenty of 2-1 teams in the Pac-12 South, plus there’s USC sitting at 2-2, so hopefully we run into some kind of awesome four-way tie for first in the division at the end of the year.
Do you like how this week’s rankings turned out? I promise we’ll leave voting open the normal length of time next week. You can bookmark this page to get right on it after the games are over on Saturday.
