ACHA Rankings: Arizona jumps two spots to No. 12 after splitting ASU series

Jason Bartel

Arizona is in a much better position to make the national tournament after finally beating ASU

After getting that elusive win against Arizona St. last weekend, the Arizona Wildcats moved up two spots in the ACHA rankings.

The Wildcats are now number twelve, which gives them a lot more breathing room heading into the last few weekends before the ACHA Tournament field is set.

Arizona travels to Colorado to take on CU and Colorado St. this weekend and goes to Minot next weekend before facing ASU in the last series of the year.

Here are the complete rankings:

Depending on how the automatic conference bids work out, the top 17 or 18 teams in the rankings will end up in the 20-team tourney, so the Cats are in good shape right now.  Since CU and CSU are not ranked though, a minimum of two wins should be the goal for this weekend.

Colorado St. (10-21-1) is tonight at 8:15 PM.  The CU (8-17-1) games are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 PM.

CSU does not offer live video, but Colorado has us covered:
