Arizona didn’t just get a quarterback with Khalil Tate’s commitment. They got a game changer. A dynamic dual-threat quarterback that will attract other top recruits to come to Arizona. Tate is ranked as the No. 15 dual threat quarterback in the nation and the No. 37 ranked athlete. Many schools had been recruiting Tate as an athlete, but not Arizona. Rich Rodriguez wants to take advantage of his quarterback skillset.
Rich Rodriguez has been known to work with some of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the nation. Pat White, Denard Robinson, and now Anu Solomon, all quarterbacks that Rich Rodriguez has utilized to execute his offense. With Tate on the way next year, he could be Rich Rod's latest and greatest product.
The recruiting class of 2016 for Arizona is already showing great promise. There was the very early commitment from 3-star Trevor Speights, the No. 44 running back in the nation.
Add to that 3-star 6-0 300lb Justin Holt, out of Salpointe Catholic, the No. 62 ranked defensive tackle in the nation. And the latest: Khalil Tate, 6-2 200lb dual-threat quarterback.
With this class in place, in combination with the success of the Wildcats on the field this past season, 2016 is off to a promising start. Rich Rodriguez is finally starting to land some big time recruits in Tucson. With Tate, this class has a lot to look forward to in the next coming months.
