No. 50 ranked tennis team beat Nevada this weekend. They are now 2-0. Their next match is against 10th ranked Florida January 30, 2009 in Gainesville, Florida. 

 

  Jim Livengood says that he is going to be picking from the "top branches of the coaching tree" when looking for a replacement for Lute Olsen. Ummmm. We are Arizona. I would hope so. 

 

The Arizona Athletics official page breaks down a list of potential pro football players from U of A. Jason Bondzio, Eben Britton, Mike Thomas, Willie Tuitama, Marquis Hundley, Joe Longacre, Adrian McCovy, Nate Ness, Ronnie Palmer, and James Tretheway are on the list. 

 

Arizona takes on Washington on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at The McKale Center.  Washington leads the Pac 10 with a 6-1 mark and just knocked off UCLA 86-75 at home this past Saturday.  A preview of the Washington vs. U of A game will be coming soon.

 

The Arizona Women's basketball team continues to struggle committing 26 turnovers and falling to Arizona State 75-38. They are now 0-7 in conference.
