Arizona vs. Sacramento State

The Arizona Wildcats opened the season with a 5-3 win versus Sacramento State on Friday night. Jason Stoffel got the save to become the Cats all time save leader.

Preston Guilmet, the Baseball Blog's #14 Player in the nation, threw 4 innings, had 6 strikeouts, and allowed one UNEARNED run. I wonder why he wasn't allowed to stay in for 5 innings? He was obviously dominating. 6 strikeouts in 4 innings, and he can't go one more to get the win? Whatever the reason, he was obviously impressive.

Bobby Coyle and Steve Selsky recorded the Wildcats only 2 RBI's of the game. SS Bryce Ortega was also credited with a stolen base during the game.

Congrats to the Wildcats on starting the season on the right foot.
