We'll be back later in the week for pre-game analysis on Washington State. Right now, let's catch up on all of the weekend happenings around U of A:
The Washington Huskies are getting ready for the weekend with Pac-10 play against Arizona and Arizona State. They sold the remaining tickets to both games yesterday. The Arizona State vs. Washington State game has Pac-10 title implications and will be a good one on Thursday. Arizona will have its hands full playing in Washington this week. Did you see that Washington State won at UCLA? Crazy.
The Wildcats Baseball team will take on UNLV (3-1) today at 7:00 p.m. and tomorrow at 12:00 p.m. The cats projected starter is Kyle Simon today and Donn Roach tomorrow. UNLV will be a much more formidable foe than Sacramento State. Arizona beat UNLV both meetings last year.
Seth Littrell has been named the Wildcats new Running Backs and Tight Ends coach. Littrell is set to replace Dana Dimell to coach tight ends, running backs and fullbacks for UA's offense. He will be a huge asset in the recruiting department and has great relationships with high school coaches in the recruiting rich state of Texas. Huge pickup for the Cats.
Arizona sophomore Andres Carrasco was named Pac-10 Men's Tennis Player of the Week for Feb. 16-22. Carrasco helped the Cats beat No. 26 Texas Tech and No. 54 San Diego State this past weekend. Congrats to the tennis team for the sweep this past weekend.
Taylor Rochestie was named the Pac-10 Player of the Week for the Pac-10 this past week. Arizona is going to have its hands full with this guy.
Steve Rivera from the Tucson Citizen says Arizona fumbled away its chances against Arizona State this past weekend. Ummmm. I don't get the article. They fumbled away their chance, then there are a lot of stats. Exactly what did they do wrong? I thought they played a great game. They were down by 17 points and fought their way back.
