Past Weekend Winners. Arizona State. California.  Arizona State locked up an NCAA bid this past Sunday by beating the Cats in Tempe.  Not only did they look tremendous, but they got leadership from players other than Harden and Pendergraph. Kuksis and Glasser played their hearts out. McMilan came off the bench on fire and they were able to withstand the tough Arizona push late in the second half. They never lost confidence and came away with the win. That's the kind of attitude you need going into the NCAA Tournament.

Oregon State took care of business this past week beating Cal and Stanford at home. The Beavers get to travel and play at Oregon next game, then it's off to UCLA and USC. I could easily see 2 of the next 3 games as winners for the Beavers. That would help them solidify a winning record to finish off the year.

Past Weekend Losers. Oregon. UCLA. Oregon got its first win this past week by beating Stanford 68-60. Congrats to the Ducks for not going 0-18. They have had a tough road this year, but will be a much better program next year. I predict a much better (Can it get any worse) Oregon team next season.

UCLA had a chance to have another sweep at home this season but couldn't handle Washington State. UCLA has lost 3 of their last four and have been giving up a tremendous amount of points. They were way overrated to begin the year, and are sputtering at the finish line. They could easily win out from here as they have Stanford, Cal, Oregon State and Oregon left on the schedule. They are goin to have their hands full with Cal.

Team With Most Favorable Schedule. UCLA. UCLA beat Cal earlier this year 81-66 at home and destroyed Stanford 97-63. They travel up the coast to Northern California to take on these two teams this week. UCLA has not been the same team since that matchup in late January and California is looking to move towards the top of the Pac-10. Out of all of the Pac-10 teams, UCLA has the best chance to sweep this week.

Team With Least Favorable Schedule. Arizona and Arizona State. Does anybody want to matchup with Taylor Rochestie? I didn't think so. Not to mention that the Pac-10 leading Huskies are waiting to play both schools from the desert and get a little revenge on the Cats for beating them a couple of weeks ago. These are going to be battles for both teams.

Game of the Week. Arizona State at Washington. What a matchup. Both teams are playing at such a high level right now and the winner basically controls their destiny for the Pac-10 regular season. This game is on Thursday, Februray 26, at 9:00 MST. This is going to be one heck of a game with Washington looking to stay atop the standings while ASU is coming out smoking after the Arizona game.
