Today is signing day across the country for young athletes ready to commit to their colleges and pursue their football dreams. Arizona has a solid commit list of 23 players as of this morning. Be sure to check out Rivals for any late breaking commits.

 

The baseball season officially began for the University of Arizona yesterday. Leading the Cats this year will be senior Preston Guilmet, the Pac-10 pitcher of the year last year. Also looking to have another monster year is senior third basemen Brad Glenn who is only 50 RBI's away from getting into the U of A's and Pac-10's top 10 RBI list. Jason Stoffell will be the closer and has already solidified himself in the record books and only needs one more save to become Arizona's all time save leader.

 

Willie Tuitama, Mike Thomas, Ronnie Palmer, and Jason Bondzio earned the Most Valuable Player honors at the University of Arizona's Football Year-End Banquet last week. Spring practice starts March 4. Also Eben Britton and Mike Thomas were invited to the NFL combine this year, which begins on February 18

Dvieira over at Addicted To Quack coordinates a conference basketball power poll with the Pac-10 bloggers at SBN and he has Arizona listed at number 6 this week. Hopefully, after we sweep in Oregon, we'll be listed in the top 5, at least.

 

I am in the process of moving and my internet is down at my house until Saturday which means I can only blog from work . I'll be checking in tomorrow to update the site on any recruiting news related to the Cats. Feel free to chime in if you see it first.
