One of Arizona's original recruits for the 2009 class, Solomon Hill, has re-committed to the University of Arizona. The four star prospect committed to Arizona in the summer of 2008. After Lute retired, the 6'6" 195 lb. small forward changed his verbal commit to USC. After Hill talked on the phone Saturday night to Sean Miller and Kentucky's John Calipari, he committed to Arizona.
"The way things look, I'm headed to Arizona," Hill, a 6-foot-6, 195-pound small forward, texted Rivals.com. "I like Coach Miller and the new situation. There is a stable base at Arizona, and it's looking good there."
(No hard feelings Solomon. Welcome to Arizona)
Hill is the No. 28 ranked prospect and should be an immediate impact player for the Cats. Hill is listed as a physical defender who can also handle the ball well. He can drive to the hoop and create shots for himself or kick out to the open man. His ability to handle the ball well creates mismatches and wreaks havoc on smaller or larger defenders who can't move with him.
What else can you say? Hallelujah! Kyryl Natyazhko and Solomon Hill in the same day? If we can hold on to Nic, our starting lineup should be set. Natyazhko, Hill, Wise, Horne, and Zane/Fogg. Sean Miller has brought not only his ability to coach to the scene but his hollywoodesque stature in the basketball world to bring in two recruits in less than a week. Kyryl didn't even take a visit to Tucson. I hope he likes hot girls, good weather and pool parties (stolen from Galandobomb). What a great way to wake up on Sunday.
