Happy Opening Day of Camp, everybody.

It's finally here. Camp opens today for the Arizona Wildcats football program, featuring a slimmer version of Mike Stoops.  Apparently Stoops lost 20 lbs. in the off-season.  Thirteen returning starters are on the field this morning as camp opens at Salpointe High School, and all incoming freshman and JC transfers are academically eligible.  My how far we have come since Mackovic.  Stoops also picked up a recruit for the class of 2010 in Paul Vassallo, a JC linebacker.

Several Wildcats are thinking Rose Bowl this year after last year's succesful 8-5 campaign, and victory over BYU in the Las Vegas Bowl.  And why not?  Hope springs eternal in August.  Go Cats!

No Wildcat commits on the 2010 ESPNU 150, released yesterday.  Still time for Stoops and Co. to make a splash, though.

One Washington blog predicts a UW victory over the Cats October 10th in Seattle.  Agree to disagree friend.

Nic Grigsby reported to camp this year 12 lbs. heavier, and ready to improve on last year's success.  All this despite flying a bit under the radar when compared to the other elite backs in the Pac.
