BREAKING NEWS: Gilbert Arenas Suspended Indefinitely

Former University of Arizona and current Washington Wizards guard, Gilbert Arenas, has been suspended indefinitely by the NBA for pulling a gun on teammate Javaris Crittenton.

"Although it is clear that the actions of Mr. Arenas will ultimately result in a substantial suspension, and perhaps worse, his ongoing conduct has led me to conclude that he is not currently fit to take the court in an NBA game," commissioner David Stern said in a statement Wednesday. "Accordingly, I am suspending Mr. Arenas indefinitely, without pay, effective immediately pending the completion of the investigation by the NBA."

This is a really unfortunate turn of events for Arenas, who has returned to the court this year after sitting out most of last year with a bad knee. I have read that the Wizards, even before the announcement from Stern was made, were exploring the idea of voiding Arenas' contract. Stay tuned as other parts of this story unfold.
