Pac-10 Picks: Week 8

Ok, let's go over this weeks Pac-10 games.  The UCLA @ Oregon game is over, and ended as expected.  My only comment on that entire debacle is that Oregon's defense is much worse than advertised.  And yes, that means that I have a very low opinion of the UCLA offense.  Let's get to it.

ASU 14, Cal 24-  I can't and won't give up on the Golden Bears.  I look for Cal to control this game from the get-go and win with style points.  I've said it before and I'll say it again, ASU is going to finish in the bottom three of the Pac-10.  I don't care if you 'almost' won against tough competition.  I don't care how 'good' you looked in defeat.  ASU has beaten only one FBS team, and that won't change this weekend.

WSU 7, #12 Stanford 31-  I refuse to pick on the Cougs here.  Stanford wins big at home.

Washington 13,  #18 Arizona 24-  Arizona's defense will be harassing Jake Locker all night long.  The defensive line that Locker is about to face will be better than any he has faced, save Nebraska.  The DBs and LBs will be playing with a major chip on their collective shoulders after the OSU debacle.  And the corners, especially, will be playing tough as they fight for the starting jobs.  Look for Arizona to force Locker to throw much more than he is used to, and for the Arizona defense to remind the nation just how good they really are.

Disagree with me?  Let me know in the comments, and don't forget to vote for your Arizona week 8 MVP's.
