Arizona State 12 vs. Arizona 4

The Arizona Wildcats jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second inning against the Sun Devils on Saturday in front of 3,012 fans at Kindall Field.  Unfortunately, the Sun Devils took control 5-2 over the next three innings and never looked back on way to a 12-4 shellacking of the Wildcats.  ASU starter Seth Blair (9-0) controlled the Cats and delivered when he had to pitching out of a jam in the 6th inning by striking out three Cats in the frame.

The Cats are 20-19 on the year and 9-10 in the Pac-10.  They have grinded away week after week and never seem to get over the hump.   This is not surprising due to the youth of the team and the Cats.  Refael Valenzuela had 2 RBI's on the night and Robert Refsnyder and Josh Garcia delivered the other 2. Kurt Heyer was tabbed with the loss, pitching 5.2 innings and giving up 7 runs, all earned on 7 hits and 4 walks.  The Cats host the Sun Devils again on Sunday night.
