Gamethread: Arizona can rid its frustration over last loss with a win against Clemson

The Arizona Wildcats missed a giant opportunity to make a statement when they lost by six points in overtime to the Florida Gators on Wednesday.

They return home, with freshman point guard Josiah Turner back following suspension, the Wildcats have a chance to rid their minds of any 'what-ifs' as the Clemson Tigers come into McKale Center today.

By the book, it looks like this should be a sure-fire victory should Arizona's players not have a lingering Dead Day hangover. Clemson has zero legitimate wins to its name. No, a 20-point victory against a flat-out bad Iowa team in Iowa City does not count.

The Tigers (4-3) have posted losses to Coastal Carolina and Charleston, and they come into this game off a 58-55 loss to a 3-5 South Carolina squad.

Led by Andre Young's 14 points and four assists per game, Clemson should provide a nice bounce-back opportunity for the Wildcats. Then again, we all thought that Seattle Pacific game was a sure-fire win.
