USC, though injured up the wazoo, presents a gritty-if-untalented opponent for the Arizona Wildcats tonight. Sean Miller's crew is attempting to bounce back from a painful loss to the Washington Huskies that broke a five-game winning streak last week.
The Trojans don't have much for interior defense thanks to injury, and the majority of their scoring load will come from their guards and wings, most of whom are freshmen or sophomores.
Now, Arizona can only work toward improvement, looking to tidy up any and all poor tendencies in hopes of making a run to the championship of the Pac-12 Tournament, which is only a few weeks away. With a 6:30 p.m. MST tip at McKale Center, the home crowd will be behind the Wildcats, and a win will set up a difficult game against the UCLA Bruins on Saturday.
There's three more regular season Pac-12 games to go, and the Wildcats desperately need to win all of them if they hope to slip into the NCAA tournament field should they fail to earn the automatic bid.
