Links: Fogg leads team at Portsmouth, Ashley reveals second choice

Presswire
  • At the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, Kyle Fogg is showing that he's one of the better seniors in the NCAA in more ways than one. While his role as an Arizona Wildcats was one of defender the best perimeter player, the 6-foot-2, 183-pound guard with a scary 6-foot, 9.5 inch wingspan (that's his official measurement as of the other day)
  • Fogg was thrown into a point guard role in the senior-only tournament, writes Bruce Pascoe.
  • While he struggled by shooting 2-for-16 in his first game, Kyle still had a team-high six assists and eight rebounds. His second game on Friday was even better, as he led his Sales Systems Ltd. squad with 22 points and six assists in his second game. Fogg will play his final game today.
  • Brandon Ashley told ESPN's Jason Jordan that Oregon was a far-behind No. 2 in his recruitment after Arizona. He and his fellow classmates also told Jordan that high school recruits like to screw with the media via Twitter AND that it really only comes down to one or two schools. Those long lists? Yeah, that's just for show.
  • A collection of UA former stars and coaches tell the NAU athletic department that head basketball coach Jack Murphy is a solid hire.
  • The Jordan Brand Classic will air on ESPN at 7 p.m. EST today if you're looking into checking out Kaleb Tarczewski, Grant Jerrett and Brandon Ashley. Rosters after the jump.
