Like they did in the AP Poll after the upset win against the Oklahoma State Cowboys, the Arizona Wildcats found themselves in SB Nation's Week 3 BlogPoll. RichRod's crew came in at No. 23, though they were also in the top five in standard deviation at 4.99.
Not surprising. Many poll-takers probably made a leap to put Arizona that high. The other mindset is that it's likely an anomaly.
Deserving to be ranked or not, we can revert to the cliche to say that Saturday's 59-38 victory was only one game. The score might have said the Wildcats dominated, but take away all of Cowboy turnovers and this one might've made for a double-overtime classic. Of course, Arizona fans hate double-overtime classics, so you all are probably glad that the Wildcats took the easy route out.
Among other notable moves, UCLA made a leap after a win against Nebraska, and USC fell to No. 3 in the BlogPoll after an underwhelming performance against Syracuse. Oregon remained steady at No. 4 and Stanford moved up three slots to No. 22.
Here's a question for you. After this weekend, is the Pac-10 I wish Pac-12 South more deadly than the North Division?
