WSU vs Arizona Player grades

A quick recap and player grades for the WSU vs Arizona basketball game

USA TODAY Sports

First I want to start by apologizing for missing the last few games. I had to go out of town, so I had to miss our cats play. Now that is out of the way, so lets jump into the last game against WSU. Overall it was nice to see a fairly strong road performance. The ducks have been helping us out in getting back into the pac 12 race, so lets hope we can keep up our momentum. Now lets jump into the player grades.

Solomon Hill: B+ His first half truly set us up to win this game. Am I the only one by the way that thought he knew exactly where he wanted to get on the court for that buzzer beater. His 6 three pointers in the first half though is extremely impressive.

Brandon Ashley: B I did listen to what you all said last time, and realized maybe I'm being a little hard on our young freshman. Brandon was very efficient on offense going 4-5 from the field for 10 points.

Kaleb Tarczewski: B Kaleb also was efficient going 3-5 from the field. One area he really needs to work on is silly fouls. We will need his presence when we get into the tournament.

Mark Lyons: B I am being a little harder on Lyons, but mainly because of his turnovers. He had another 4 today. However, scoring 20 points always helps.

Nick Johnson: B- Nick's defense was solid as always. However, he didn't have a great game on offense only going 2-6 for 6 points. His 5 assists and 3 rebounds helped out though. You have to sometimes wonder if his offense suffers because of all the effort he puts out on the defensive end.

Kevin Parrom: INC Just a stupid thing for Kevin to do. Hes a good guy, but come on.

Jordin Mayes: C Jordin came in and did a good job running the offense, but what happened to his shooting? He only went 1-4 in the game, and it seems like a while since he has looked to be in any zone what so ever.

Angelo Chol: INC only played 7 minutes. Chol showed energy, but sometimes is a bit to physical and gets fouls in bad situations for it.

Grant Jerrett: B+ Grant only went 2-7 from the field, but man his defense was impressive at times. Giving us 4 blocks and 5 rebounds.

Gabe York: INC Gabe just needs to get more comfortable so he comes in with a bit of a rhythm. We know he can shoot, but he hasn't looked comfortable yet on the floor.
