Harvard vs Arizona Player Grades

A quick recap and player grades for the Harvard vs Arizona basketball game

USA TODAY Sports

I was so excited that I actually got to watch this game, and the team did not disappoint. I felt pretty confident going into this game, but even I was surprised how strong the team came out. They came out on a mission and immediately let Harvard they had no chance on Saturday. A few of the possible injuries worried me, but it sounds like all the players will be fine for the game against Ohio State. Now lets jump into some player grades.

Solomon Hill: A Hill is starting to show pro scouts why he deserves to be be drafted this coming year. He is versatile, strong, and a leader. He went 4-7 from the floor for 13 points and added 10 rebounds. Also Hill had a great breakaway dunk that will be on draft highlight reels.

Kaleb Tarczewski: B+ I know I was very hard on Kaleb to start the year, but this is really showing how good of a coach Miller is. You can see the progression Kaleb is making and its great to see. I am really happy for him. He only went 2-5 from the field but also added 8 rebounds.

Mark Lyons: A As much as Lyons frustrated us in the season there is no doubt he is a gamer. He shows up in big games and moments, and this game wasn't a change. In 33 minutes Lyons shot an impressive 12-17 for 27 points.

Kevin Parrom: C Kevin always seems to be in the middle of any altercation. I don't think he meant to hit the Harvard guard in the mouth, but hey its Kevin and those things happen. He didn't do much in this game only going 1-1 from the field with 2 rebounds and 1 assist.

Nick Johnson: A Nick gets an A not because of his stats, but because of what he does on the defensive end. Just impressive to watch the energy he spends on that end. His numbers were all around like usual with 7 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals.

Jordin Mayes: B+ Jordin came in and made the most of his minutes. He went 3-7 for 8 points and added 3 assists. His shooting has been up lately, which has really helped the team out.

Angelo Chol: C Chol came in when needed, but didn't make a big impact. He only had 8 minutes so it was hard to judge his impact as well.

Brandon Ashley: B+ Ashley came in with energy, but had way too many fouls. Not sure all those were deserved, but the refs still called them. He did however finish with 6 points and 8 rebounds.

The rest of the players played to little to get graded.
