Tuesday night is the first time of five that Arizona and Arizona State meet on the diamond this year! Although it doesn't count as a conference game, it is worth noting that both teams are 8-7 in PAC-12 play this year, and both are coming off road series in which they won 2-of-3.
Arizona will send Nick Cunningham (0-2, 4.32 ERA) to the mound against the Sun Devils' Zak Miller (2-0, 2.81 ERA). Miller has not pitched for the Sun Devils in a PAC-12 game, and Cunningham has not pitched since March 29th against Utah.
ASU hits for more power than U of A, which is not hard to do, but also strikes out more, commits more errors, and has a higher team ERA. The Sun Devils also used four different pitchers on Sunday against USC, compared to Arizona's one (Tyler Crawford) at Washington State. And the Wildcats are on a six-game home winning streak.
It's always nice to note that Arizona leads the all-time series 237-204-1. Game starts at 6 PM on Tuesday, and can be seen on PAC-12 Network.
