On Tuesday, the University of Arizona announced a new partnership with Fox Sports Radio 910 in Phoenix.
Fox Sports 910 will broadcast Arizona Wildcats football and basketball games, as well as a weekly football and mens basketball coaches show with Rich Rodriguez and Sean Miller.
"We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with KGME/Clear Channel in the Phoenix market," said Greg Byrne. "We have been focused on continuing to grow our presence in Maricopa County and this is a significant agreement that once again shows the tremendous passion and pride that all University of Arizona fans have throughout our great state."
"Once again, this is a great reminder that Phoenix is Wildcat Country."
This is just the latest move in Byrne's campaign to take over the entire state. AM 910 is pretty pumped about it too:
"Teaming up with the Arizona Wildcats to provide full University of Arizona football and men's basketball coverage is a significant addition to our new Fox Sports 910 brand," said Scott Hopeck, President, Phoenix Market, Clear Channel Media and Entertainment. "We are happy to serve the large base of fans and alumni who now have a new radio home where they can follow their Wildcats anywhere in the Valley. This is Wildcat Country and the new Fox Sports 910 is the Voice of Arizona Sports."
