The Arizona Wildcats hockey team gets the 2013-14 season underway tonight as they travel to Flagstaff to take on the D2 NAU Icejacks Friday and Saturday night at Jay Lively Activity Center.

A lot of questions surround this team, the most important of which is who will be the main goaltender this year. Steven Sisler and Dylon Hojnacki return from last year's squad. The senior Sisler played in 23 games, posting a 3.65 GAA. Hojnacki, a sophomore from Chandler, only played in three games his freshman year. He stopped 71 of the 79 shots he faced and recorded a 3-0 record in those games.

Two of the three leading scorers from last year return. Recently named captain Ansel Ivens-Anderson and Andrew Murmes look to improve upon last year's numbers, in which they along with Brian Slugocki had more than double the points of the next highest point-getter. I expect to see a lot more production from the likes of Bryan Drazner, Jason Effertz and Michael Ferreira.

This weekend should be a good way to start the year for the Cats, who enter the season ranked 19th in the preseason ACHA coaches' poll
