Arizona football: Former OT Mickey Baucus goes undrafted, signs with the Miami Dolphins

The tackle will be taking his talents to South Beach

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Although no Arizona Wildcats were selected in the 2015 NFL Draft, we should start to see some of the departing players being picked up as undrafted free agents.

And it appears as though Mickey Baucus will be the first one as he tweeted just after the draft finished that he will be "taking his talents to South Beach" to sign with the Miami Dolphins:

He later confirmed his plans to Daniel Berk of the Arizona Daily Star:

It wasn't a surprise that Baucus went undrafted, as many mock drafts, including NFL.com, had him graded as an undrafted player.

The four-year starter will be a long shot to make the team, like all undrafted free agents, but it's nice to see that he's at least getting a chance to prove himself at the next level.

Baucus is just one domino to fall, and I'm sure Austin Hill (and maybe Steven Gurrola) will be signed in the near future.
