Sonoran Hot Reads: NCAA improves NBA Draft rules for prospects

This will certainly benefit players trying to figure out their draft stock

Some much-needed rules changes came down on Wednesday with regards to the NBA Draft and potential prospects losing their eligibility when looking to declare early. One of the changes is pushing the date back of when a player can withdraw their name, and that date is ten days AFTER the NBA Combine this year. A player can also go through the draft process multiple times in their career without jeopardizing their eligibility

- The Pac-12 also was going to propose student-athletes can make money off their likeness, but decided to table it until a future date

- We moved USC to the top of our Pac-12 Power Rankings, and then they promptly went out and crushed UCLA in Pauley to make us look like geniuses

- Arizona only has 15 regular season games, and Bill Walton will call eight (!) of them

- The Pac-12 has some really good freshmen, and one will be in Tucson on Thursday that's not Allonzo Trier
