Both the Arizona Wildcats and Arizona State Sun Devils aren’t particularly good at football this year (second worst T-Cup combined record since 1958), so it’s not a huge surprise that the betting line is fairly close. In this roundup of all the Rivalry Week lines, Arizona is a 3-point underdog at home for Friday night. TCU/Texas is the only P5 Conference game that is closer, and I think it’s interesting that Oregon and Oregon State is the exact same 3-point line. What a weird year
- What are the five most controversial T-Cup games? Shane Dale has you covered there, since he is the expert on the rivalry. I get the feeling that Friday could see something bad. Especially with the way some ASU players are talking so far
- Todd Graham gave his thoughts on the rivalry as ASU looks to become bowl eligible
- Is Rich Rodriguez worried about his job security? Not really
- You should check out Kaelen Jones’ Arizona preview. He does a really good job with everything ASU football
- Speaking of House of Sparky, I answered some questions about Arizona for them. They will return the favor in the coming days
- There aren’t any Pac-12 teams in this week’s College Football Playoff top four. Colorado at nine though (eyeball emoji)
- The Arizona in the NFL recap this week was pretty short, but Earl Mitchell did some good things
- Even though it’s been a bad year, don’t let the seniors go out on a bad note
Basketball
- Kadeem Allen said he felt great after getting the start on Monday and playing extended minutes for the first time since the opener
- Santa Clara’s Jared Brownridge scored 32 points against Sacred Heart on Monday
Baseball
- Here’s an interesting look at how Mark Melancon gets the job done as one of the game’s top closers
Other sports
- Women’s basketball set an attendance record on school day, but lost to North Texas by four points. That was North Texas’ first win of the year
Tucson news
- The Roadrunners returned to the ice for practice on Tuesday, and had a strip-shootout and 11-on-11 scrimmage. Here’s what head coach Mark Lamb said about the team’s current situation
- I’ll be heading to Flagstaff for Thanksgiving, and if you’re doing the same, Snowbowl got some fresh powder this week
- Twenty more bighorns were released into the Catalinas on Tuesday. Also, the wildlife crossing along Oracle has become an instant success
- There was a stabbing at the JCPenney at Irvington and I-19
- Naughton’s has filed for bankruptcy
