Sonoran Hot Reads: Ryan Anderson named to Portsmouth Invitational All-Tournament team

A nice weekend for the potential draft pick

After one season at Arizona, Ryan Anderson still has a lot of work to do if he wants to find himself being drafted by an NBA team. That process started this weekend at the Portsmouth Invitational. Anderson was named to the All-Tournament team, averaging 18 points (third-best) and 12 rebounds (best) in the three games he played in. Gabe York was also there, and he was not nearly as impressive, putting up 13.3 points per game on 7-of-19 shooting from three. - The Arizona coaching staff was busy at the UA Association. Among the players they saw was Hamidou Diallo

- Some other tidbits from UA Association weekend: Brandon McCoy is not only good at basketball, but says he plays five instruments. Gary Trent Jr. says that Arizona is one of the five schools recruiting him hardest. And Trevon Duval put on a show

- Stanley Johnson played in his first career NBA playoff game, and he guarded the hell out of LeBron James

- The Cats were within an out of sweeping Stanford. But an inside-the-park HR changed that, and they lost 6-5
