When Arizona announced that Allonzo Trier was officially coming back next year, all of the sudden the hype for the 2016-17 team grew even more. But how big is his return? ESPN ranks Trier as the country's 16th-best player for next season, right behind Villanova's Kris Jenkins, who just hit one of the biggest shots in college basketball history. The top player next year? Duke's Harry Giles
- With Trier coming back, Arizona checks in at No. 12 in ESPN's way-too-early Top 25. The Wildcats are also 20-1 to win the National Championship right now
Football
- Tuesday was a big recruiting day for Arizona. They earned commitments from Kylan Wilborn and Kurtis Brown
- Elijah Blades also told Rivals that Arizona is the new leader to earn his services
- Another name to keep an eye on is Thomas Graham. The four-star corner decommitted from USC
- Cam Denson could be poised for a big year now that he's on the offensive side of the ball
Softball
- Softball plays a Wednesday double-header against New Mexico State at 4 and 6 PM at Hillenbrand
Other sports
- Jordan Gumberg was an individual co-champion at the Cowboy Classic
