If you're an avid gamer and a college basketball fan, odds are good that the last eight years haven't been easy on you. The Arizona Wildcats haven't hoisted a National Championship Trophy since 1997 and you haven't been able to manufacture one shining video game moment for the Wildcats since College Hoops 2K8. But the lovely folks at the award-winning NBA 2K franchise have heard your cries and are throwing you a bone.
In NBA 2K17, you can download the "all-time" college roster for ten schools, including the University of Arizona. All you have to do is head to the Xbox Marketplace or the PS Store, on whichever console you may have and search "NBA 2K college."
From there, each school's all-time team can be purchased for $1.99 or you can buy all ten for $14.99.
Operation Sports released the rosters for all the teams. Here's a sneak peek at what 2K decided to be the all-time Arizona Wildcats.
The roster is a little skewed with guys currently in the NBA or guys that were relatively big names in the NBA. I imagine that's why you don't see names like Jason Gardner, Miles Simon or Salim Stoudamire on the roster.
That notwithstanding, that is quite the lineup the all-time Wildcats roll out. Other schools involved are Louisville (pictured above), Kansas, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, UConn, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Illinois and Wake Forest (that Chris Paul/Tim Duncan combo is absolutely frightening).
So, what do you think of the roster? Who would be your all-time Wildcats starting five? Who will you play first? I, myself, am electing to go up against Deron Williams and Illinois first. I think it may help with the nightmares I've had for the last 11 years.
