Teams have just over 24 hours to make their case to get into the NCAA Tournament.
Programs like the Oregon Ducks and Arizona Wildcats, meeting in tonight’s Pac-12 Championship game, are well aware that they’re in. But where? And what seed?
Is a 1-seed on the line tonight? I’d guess no. Though if Oregon can repeat their performance against Arizona that they had one month ago, the Ducks would have a serious case for the 1-seed in the West region.
What we do know is that the Pac-12 title is at stake tonight. Also at stake is at least the 2-seed in the West region. Though it would appear that both the Wildcats and Ducks are locked in on the 2-line, each school would feel much better if they had a chance to stay close to home leading all the way up to the Final Four.
The UCLA Bruins appear to be locked in as a 3-seed after last night’s loss, coupled with the Duke Blue Devils win over the North Carolina Tar Heels that propels Duke to the 2-line.
The brackets are nearly set. Here’s our latest projection:
Last Four Byes: Michigan State, Marquette, Xavier, Syracuse
Last Four In: USC, Providence, Wake Forest, Kansas State
First Four Out: Illinois State, California, Rhode Island, TCU
Next Four Out: Houston, Georgia, Alabama, Indiana
