Tony Bullard is making the most of his chance to be Arizona’s everyday third baseman, heading into the postseason as hot as any hitter on a team full of potent bats.
And his most recent play has earned him the final Pac-12 Player of the Week award of the regular season.

Bullard went 6 for 12 with two home runs, two doubles and six RBI last weekend against Dixie State. The junior had his first career 2-homer game on Saturday, including a grand slam in the third inning of Arizona’s 11-9 loss.
For the season Bullard, who has started the last 15 games at 3rd, is hitting .271 with 3 homers and 21 RBI.
Arizona (40-15) opens the NCAA Tournament Friday at 7 p.m. PT at Hi Corbett against Grand Canyon. The Wildcats are hosting a regional that also includes Oklahoma State and UC Santa Barbara.
