Eleven different ranked teams lost a game last week, and several previously unbeaten teams suffered their first defeats of the season. Arizona was not among them, and thus remains at the top of the college basketball ladder for another week.

The Wildcats (8-0) are No. 1 in the Associated Press Top 25 for a second consecutive week, grabbing 61 of 62 first-place votes (with No. 4 Houston getting the other). They won their only game last week, crushing then-No. 23 Wisconsin 98-73 for their biggest win over a ranked opponent since 2001.

Kansas remained second, while Purdue moved ahead of Houston for third. The Boilermakers (9-1) are Arizona’s next opponent on Saturday in Indianapolis.

The UA is one of seven remaining unbeaten teams. The others are Houston (10-0), Baylor (9-0), Clemson (9-0), James Madison (9-0), Oklahoma (9-0) and Ole Miss (9-0).

No other Pac-12 teams are ranked for the third week in a row. The closest to reaching the Top 25 is Colorado, at 26th.
