This is a bracket filled with some hot teams. Sam Houston State is 34th in the RPI, and have won nine of their last ten. Louisiana-Lafayette has won each of their last ten games. And then there's Arizona, who is on a six-game winning streak.
Should the Wildcats advance out of the Lafayette Regional, they would face the winner of the Starkville Regional in the second weekend. That team would likely be Mississippi State or Cal State Fullerton.
